The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality's integrated development planning and city strategy processes identified the Wonderboom Airport as an important element in the economic strategy capable of stimulating growth and investment in the region north of the Magaliesberg.

The plans for the Wonderboom Airport therefore represent a strategic development focus. With improved access via the planned K8 and the newly constructed N4 Platinum Corridor, the airport has tremendous potential to stimulate development in the surrounding area as well.

EAA Wonderboom Airshow

6-7 May 2006

The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, in partnership with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), is hosting a two-day aviation extravaganza on 6 and 7 May at Wonderboom Airport.

The flying displays will be quite different from anything ever seen in South Africa and will include pantomimes, aerobatics and displays of flying skills to entertain even the most casual of spectators. Seven new aircraft will also be on show.
