The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, in partnership with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), is hosting a two-day aviation extravaganza on 6 and 7 May at Wonderboom Airport. The flying displays will be quite different from anything ever seen in South Africa and will include pantomimes, aerobatics and displays of flying skills to entertain even the most casual of spectators. Seven new aircraft will also be on show.
A unique feature this year is the inclusion of a fashion show: The first-ever 'Fashion in Africa' fashion show, showcasing the talents of young fashion designers of South Africa and Tunisia, will be held at the airport. Live music, exhibitions, food stalls, a beer garden and jumping castles will provide non-stop entertainment for the whole family. Safe and free parking with bus rides to the gates will be provided. Tickets are available at Computicket - The entrance fee is R40. Entry is free for children who are less than 1,3 metres tall. Bring your chairs and picnic baskets and join in the fun!
